Do you accept [insert supplies here]?
Please check the items listed on this page. Whether we can accept them also depends on how full we are and how we can get the items to us. If your question isn’t answered on this page, feel free to submit the expression of interest form or ask us at [email protected]
Do you accept expired items?
Usually, yes! You can check our priority list too.
Do you accept unsterile or used items?
Maybe! We treat these items on a case-by-case basis. You can ask us at [email protected], but often we’ll need extra details to be able to know. So, it’s worth submitting the expression of interest form and we can take it from there!
I’m not in Victoria, Australia - can I still donate to you?
Yes! However, we do not have drop-off points anywhere other than our warehouse in Laverton North, Victoria, Australia. So, it would be more environmentally friendly and cost-effective to find a similar organisation closer to you. These organisations seem to have similar goals to us, although we have no connections to them and have not vetted them:
- MedEarth (New South Wales)
- Save Our Supplies (Queensland)
- Australian Doctors for Africa (Perth)
- Animal Rescue Cooperative
- RSPCA
- Rotary Donations in Kind
- MedShare (USA)
- ProjectCure (USA)
- Med Surplus Alliance (USA)
- MEDIGIVE (UK)
- InterCare (UK)
When can I drop by?
Please organise a time with us by submitting the expression of interest form. Please don’t drop by unannounced because we may be closed or unable to take your donation - we love your enthusiasm and wouldn’t want to see you disappointed if we can’t take your items!
How can I get the items to you?
The options are:
- Drop them off: You drop them to our warehouse in Laverton North, Victoria, Australia. Please organise a time with us by submitting the expression of interest form. Please don’t drop by unannounced because we may be closed or unable to take your donation - we love your enthusiasm and wouldn’t want to see you disappointed if we can’t take your items!
- Post them to us: But please organise a time with us first by submitting the expression of interest form. Our warehouse is not staffed during normal business hours, so one of our volunteers would need to be available to open up when the courier arrives. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the transportation costs as we are 100% funded by donations.
- We pick them up from you: This won’t always be possible. We are 100% volunteer-run and funded by donations, so we can’t afford trucks or removalists and we’re all typically busy on weekdays with our day jobs. But, if the items are small enough, one of us may be able to drop by for a pickup!
